Why should I create an account?
The primary reason for creating an account on R2-Db.com is for social purposes. If you are just seeking information about the game and have no interest in discussing anything, then don't worry about it. However, if you'd like to be able to communicate with other users on the site, create comments and other social mediums on Items/Quests/Skills/etc, then please create an account!
What information do you need?
For the 'Traditional Login' method on R2-Db.com, we only really need 3 pieces of information plus whatever password you would like to use for your account. We require the following information:
- 'Display Name', which is how you will be represented across R2-Db.com. (Not unique)
- 'Email Address', this is our method of communicating password requests and verifying your identity.
- 'Username', this is your unique username site-wide, and will show your profile at http://r2-db.com/profile/USERNAME.
- 'Password', obviously this is the password you need to login with.
For the 'Login with Twitter', we need nothing. We automatically populate your profile with your Twitter information and after you are logged in you can change your 'Display Name' and email address if you choose to do so.
Why do you need my email address
As stated above, we need your email address to verify your identity for the 'Traditional Login'. If you login with Twitter, we trust that Twitter has already verified your identity. We will never sell, distribute or trade your email address to anyone for any reason.
